I've been having the same issue. Did you ever find anything to solve the problem?

Turning my icloud library on and off helped for a very brief amount of time but it's happening again. Does anyone else have a solution? One of the reasons I got an iphone 7 is to take photos with it, and I edit many photos. This is exceptionally frustrating.

What an incredibly stupid error!

Take a photo. It no longer exists on your phone. I go to edit it - require wifi or Internet data, then I go to save it and the incompetent iCloud software is unable to save the photo. I've had numerous iCloud copies become "corrupt" losing GB of HD footage required for work.

there is no solution, you have to search it yourself. I went to do the solution listed, however it says all photos and videos will be removed from my iPhone (2148 files) however I only have 1200 photos and videos on my iPhone. Where are these other files I could potentially lose?

Far better to lose the iCloud and just get a 2016 smart phone that has expandable +120gb storage for literally $60.

I've got the same problem. What I think is, all the photos are safely stored in iCloud, so it's ok to say "remove from iPhone".

The way to be sure is, on a desktop/laptop web browser go to http://icloud.com and sign in - you can view your photos there, which proves that they're saved. Once you feel assured that all your pics are there, you can tap "Delete from iPhone" on your phone.

I've just done this and it seems to have helped.

I have this issue also. In addition to after deleting a photo it goes back to the previous day’s photos instead of the photo before the one deleted. It also takes too long to download each photo to edit it or to send it elsewhere. Much is resolved by turning iCloud off but then I have no room on my phone and get that message instead! I take a lot of photos and delete unwanted ones as I go along. I also need some synced but not all on my phone and don’t know if there’s a way to be selective. It seems that when I make separate files, the photos are now in two places and take up even more space instead of deleting the ones in the main photos library and just keeping them in the designated files. 😫.

What should i reply when i'm asked:

"Remove from iPhone" and

"Download Photos & Videos" ?

Downloading in my case is not possible due to the lack of free space on the phone (needed 75GB), but if i remove photoes from the iPhone i should download them again once the option is enabled....

Unfortunately, it did NOT work for me. However, what I can do is edit photos on my desktop, then find the edited version on my iPhone 6, then send them from the phone. I have no idea why I started to get the message, nor why I can no longer edit or save edited photos on the phone. Very frustrating!
