Q: Air Drop just doesn't work - go back to bonjour or email!!!!!

Air Drop doesn't work but APPLE fails to update their system

look at this stupid thing still on the website

  • If the receiving Mac is a 2012 or older model, click “Don't see who you're looking for?” in the AirDrop window or sharing sheet of the sending Mac. Then click “Search for an Older Mac.”

there is no such "SEARCH FOR AN OLDER MAC"

the¥ LIE!!!!!!

IT is like I am going backwards....

iMac doesn't even see my iPhone....and iPad...I am updated to this EL CAPTAIN...but it isn't MY CAPTAIN...it is LOST IN SPACE...

STEVE? please resurrect yourself....come back and kick these *** holes out who are messing up and confusing everything with products that don't work and make everything backwards....

Its like every six months.....the landscapers come blow everything away with a loud gasoline blower and tell you "THE GRASS IS GREEN!!!!"

but you realize there is no grass...because you have a cement walk way!!!!!

APPLE you changed FCP to a ROAD BLOCK

you are BONJOUR RETARDS....

and you AIR DROP to SYRIA......that is what you are doing....absolute nothing....

useless garbage needs to be taken out of the software if it isn't going to work........I have screen shots to prove it....but you have fine fine fine fine print that says

oops it only works on a NEW NEW NEW as in yesterday MAC...sorry...

was just trying to be extremely clear. Not turning on BT is probably on of the primary reasons I see that people have trouble with AirDrop.

That point was already noted by Jon P. You replied to my post. If you want to emphasize it, reply to the one with the question.

Air Drop never worked reliably on my mid 2010 iMac - I could occasionally get it to actually send something, but not very often; however, my late 2012 works like a charm. I believe the answer is the older hardware not being completely compliant.

I'd apologize for the perceived slight but I already did that once.

    Have a nice evening.

There was never anything to apologize for in the first place. You chose to respond to me instead of the person you should have. I guess you assumed that bothered me somehow. Essentially all it did (and is still doing) is run this thread off the tracks.
