iTunes not syncing all of my photos iOS 9.3.1

Same problem here with new iPad Pro 9.7"

Same problem here with new iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6. Problem exists for years (formerly with iPhoto and older iTunes versions). With other devices too. But now it´s more fatal than ever.

Deleting the iPod Photo cache folder was a solution I read about, but it doesn´t work.

As far as I found out it does not sync Gif format and once it find it it stops the whole sync. Also there are other formats but I am still looking for them.

My photos are in .jpg and .png too. No .gif!

I checked your video. Exactly the same case.

But I use the Photos-app (and before that iPhone).

Same here.... iPhone 6s (9.3.1) and iTunes (12.3.317). Just 640 of 1982 photos 😟

Actually I managed to sync about 90% of my photos and videos by going folder by folder and finding the ones that iTunes did not like. In every folder there were some photos that iTunes does not like to sync. Previously I was under the impression that is GIF related because I renamed gif to jpg and iTunes synced them. But it was only some of them.

I managed to sync full folder of mostly gif pics in which some jpeg and jpg and png did not sync. From some reason TIF and AVI are not welcome anymore...

So to summarize: iOS 9.3.1 has a bug because all the folders were synced to my iPhone 6s and my iPad Air just 3 weeks ago without any problem when I restored my iPhone and updated my iPad to iOS 9.2. I hope that Apple will fix it in the next iOS release. In the meantime if you have photos on any device do not sync through iTunes because it will destroy them.

BTW - I am using PC with iTunes 12.3.3.17 64bit.

I solved the problem! It was one JPG, which let break the sync of the albums. I deleted this one JPG, and all albums synced correctly. I don´t know exactly, why this one photo could inhibit the sync of all albums, but that was ist. I hope, this fault will not come again.

I had one small album with 28 photos. Only 3 photos of this album were synced.

And in addition I hat about 20 albums with more than 100 photos in each. In this albums only max. one photo was synced. I found out which photo in my small album caused the break of the sync (not the great problem with a small album). And after deleting this photo, the other albums synced completely too. Sound somehow unbelievable. But so it was.

Strange is, that the great albums did also not sync, when I only started syncing these albums (without the small 28-photo-album).
