Ever since the update to iOS 9.3.1 my iPhone 6 Plus isn't working properly anymore. The iMessages I send go from being read to being delivered after a couple of minutes. Am I the only one experiencing this problem?

I have an iPhone 6 Plus and I'm running iOS 9.3.1, and I am not experiencing this problem.
Does the person you are sending the message to have an Apple Watch? I'm wondering if glancing at it on the Watch marks it as read. The Apple Watch just updated to watchOS 2.2, and it's possible it's a problem with the Watch... I'm really reaching, though.
