Q: renaming home

How do you rename the home folder in El Capitan?  The previous owner of my 2012 named it after himself and I can't figure out how to rename it.

AirPort Express 802.11n (1st Gen), Mac OS X (10.5.8)

You cannot use the old owner's account even if you did rename it. What you should do is create a new admin account, log into the new account you made, then delete the old owner's account.

You should note that if the previous owner left anything on the disk that he/she purchased or downloaded from the App Store, including OS X, then you must repartition and reformat the drive to start from scratch. You must then purchase your copy of OS X as well as any software you want from the App Store using your Apple ID. It would be useful to follow the instructions here: What to do before selling or giving away your Mac.
