Could you be more specific, what Mac do you have? There was not a Macbook in 2012.
Click on the Apple symbol, 'About this Mac', 'System Report' and tell us what is contained in the Hardware overview.

If you want to upgrade your RAM, do so by using the recommended RAM. Go to Crucial or Macsales, where you can talk to someone, one to one by phone, and they will advise you of the correct RAM to use. Both sources are much cheaper than Apple themselves but are well regarded in these columns. Both companies can be found in your national Google pages which is why I haven't provided a direct link.

No MBP has been designed to use RAM with a greater speed than 1866 MHz. I am not aware if there are even RAM modules with 204 pins manufactured with the specifications that you are interested in.
Should you find some and install them, please let me know what the results are. I have doubts that they would be favorable.
Ciao.
Even if the key and the pinout would be the same, this would be a major engineering exercise on the Mac itself. By using faster spec RAM, you would not gain anything as you have done nothing to increase the read/write speed to the module. The module would achieve it reliably, but hardware engineering would precede such a step. Thus, to achieve that would be a contravention of your agreement with Apple, its software and its hardware. Although some of us are aware how to, nobody on this forum will advice you how to achieve this.
If you want something faster, buy a faster Mac.
Otherwise, use http://guides.macrumors.com/Buying_RAM as a guide to optimise your Mac legally.

You can try but it will not work. The correct RAM specifications for a 2012 MBP are: 204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM.
Ciao.
ITs a macbook pro mid 2012 model. MD101

You can not, and if you could, you would not gain any measurable speed difference.
