Create a playlist in iTunes of a specific genre

I have a quite a few songs in my iTunes library, made up of various genres. I would like to create a playlist of a particular genre. What is the best (easiest) way to accomplish this? The playlist I'm looking to create will have several thousand songs.

MacBook (13-inch Aluminum Late 2008), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

Use File > New > Smart Playlist and use the drop down boxes to create the rule Genre is <Genre> where <Genre> is whatever you want to match with.
