Q: Can I sync one song from my laptop to my iPod, which is synced to anyone MAC, without losing all the content on the iPod?

Can I sync one song from my Apple laptop to my iPod classic, which is synced to another MAC, which is away in storage without losing all the content on the iPod?

If it is synced with another library then no, and switching to manual mode which connected to a different library runs the risk of iTunes removing the content that is on it now. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.
