Ipod touch 5th generation that is updated to version 9.3.1 but when connected to computer shows its connected to computer but not to iTunes. How do you fix this issue? The iPod touch battery is fully charged no other issues.

iPod touch 5th Generation 32gb refurbished model is fully charged and updated to iOS 9.3.1 as of today, the issue is the iPod once connected to the computer shows its connected to the computer but NOT connected to iTunes. What can I do to rectify this issue and sync the iPod Touch to iTunes? Computer has been restarted and iPod Touch connected to a different USB port and still the same issue.

First:

iTunes: Fix iPhone or iPod Not Detected in Windows 10

next try

Apple Mobile Device USB Driver Missing

last

iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows

- I would start with

Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later

- New cable and different USB port

Also see:

iPod not recognised by windows iTunes - ASC

Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates

- Try on another computer to help determine if computer or iPod problem

Also, update your profile for this forum since it says you have XP:

Illaass, Thank You for really I suppose trying to be helpful especially with the attached articles. I clicked the ones that I already elaborated I hadn't already tried myself and they weren't helpful either MY FRIEND who actually had the problem with there iPod Touch was able to fix it themselves, so as far as the comment as me updating my profile Thank You for that because as someone who has been a member since 2007 compared to yourself who's only been a member since 2010 with an iPad 3 as your newest Apple Device I should have my profile more updated. I never actually said I had the issue or the current Windows Operating System but Thank You for trying to be observant and seeing that information in my profile. I'll be posting my friends actual helpful iPod Touch 5th Generation Article Soon please use that for fellow community users since I know your much more active then I. Have a great Community Day Illaass 🙂
