I downloaded the latest iOS9.3.1 on my iPhone 5s. Since then, I have an "Invalid SIM" alert on my phone, and I have no internet access (outside of wifi).

I have the same Problem just with my IPhone 6S. Since i run the update 9.3.1 today.
my update messed my phone up and put it in recovery mode for the second time. Last 2 updates have done this
This happened to mo on April 7. I took the phone to a genius bar. The genius took out the sim and tried it in a different phone. It didn't work their either. So, he gave me a new sim card and now things seem to be working. It's a pain to activate a new sim. He hadn't heard of this problem and thought it was just a coincidence that my sim failed during the system upgrade.
Hi everyone, so after multiple resets including the factory reset, nothing worked. And so, I backed up my phone on my laptop, took my phone to Verizon, and they replaced the SIM card for free. The phone started working. Came home and then restored my phone with the back up.
I think the 9.3.1 iOS update fried/damaged my SIM card.
Uodated my 6S to 9.3.1 last night and sure enough got greeted with Invalid SIM message in the morning.
The SIM card does not work in other phones so it's definitely fried.
