How to create a ".h" file, and

I need to set up the cluster-rendering options in Shake, but don't know how to set up or even name a .h file.

Any hints?

I'm not a Shake user, but I browse the forum anyway. So I don't know what ".h" files are used for specifically in Shake, but the ".h" extension is most commonly used to indentify C/C++/Objective-C header files. These files contain information about classes, and they methods and variables they contain (computer programmy stuff). In the case of Shake, I would get the impression that it uses some form of C language implementation to control its render options. This ".h" file you are referring is probably holds values for configuration variables.

A .h should be plaintext -- you can just type it up in a text editor and name it "file.h" but chances are for Shake, there is already a file that exists that you need to edit, or use a tool to generate it. I'd start digging into the documentation.
