Q: Installation of Bootcamp driver in Windows 10 causing "Automatic repair" and failing to repair

As the title sums up the problem, here is the rest of the story. I have a 2013 iMac 21" with the latest version of OSX (El Capitan) and also the latest version of Bootcamp Assistant. I've successfully downloaded Windows 10 Pro (free academic version from university) through the Bootcamp Assistant on a partition with 300GB. Everything seem to work fine UNTIL after I download the bootcamp assistant. The screen then goes black and goes into "Automatic Repair" mode and fails to actualy repair. I then have to reset the whole thing and try again. I've been trying for over a week to get to the bottom of this and the problem seems to appear right after I install the bootcamp drivers.

So basically, the computer runs mostly fine (without sound, brightness buttons, certain mouse functions, etc) when I don't install the bootcamp drivers.

I just want my apple keyboard and mouse and my sound to work when I'm using Windows. Is there a way to fix the bootcamp drivers? Or can I install a few of them individually to avoid having my computer to reset?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4), Windows 10 Pro (academic licence)
