Q: latest version of itunes stops working on Windows 7

I unwittingly updated my itunes to the latest version 12.3.3.17 and since then when I try to open itunes I get the "itunes has stopped working" message. I downloaded in both Firefox and Internet Explorer with the same result. Currently running Windows 7. All pervious versions of itunes ran flawlessly.

Any suggestions??

itunes application, Windows 7, itunes would load on Windows 7
