FiLMiC Pro app and Rode Mic Go External Mic

Hello!

I have a query regarding my newly purchased Rode Mic Go. Once plugged in, does the FiLMiC Pro app automatically select the external mic instead of the internal mic - or do I need to do anything with the audio settings in FiLMiC Pro to make sure the external mic gets used?

I'm confused as to whether I should be using either of these settings: iPhone Microphone, Bottom / iPhone Microphone, Front / iPhone Microphone, Back - or none of them?

Okay, so, you sorted out the adapter, but what about the internal mic-choice settings in FiLMiC Pro? Is your audio from the external mic now synced inside FiLMiC Pro? And which setting did you choose inside the app? It's funny, you sort of asked one question, and came up with the answer to a different question. Slightly confusing..

I have an iPhone 5s and I only use wireless headphones & it works through Bluetooth. The mic is in the right earphone, so I'm not sure about your phone showing two or more mics or mic positions. And why doesn't this app tell you exactly? Seems to me a mic should be all in one? Your phone is much more advanced, so my only advice is to email the ones who made it & ask them. Wish I could've given better advice. Well Good Luck with that.

Yes I did in the end - turns out I needed a different cable, again supplied by Rode. The new one has a triple black ring connector going into the iPhone to make it work. The cable you need is the Rode SC7 TRS to TRRS version, with the grey bit going into the phone.
