I'd like to use my iPad Air as an external monitor for my (don't shoot me) PC, so that I can control my PC screen from inside my vocal recording booth. Any ideas please? I appreciate that iPads don't like to talk to PCs, but I've no choice here!

MIcrosofts own Remote Desktop client (free app) for iOS will let you just have a regular Remote Desktop connection on your iPad.
Splash top looks interesting, Team Viewer I had before when a business was helping with a tech problem I had, I found it very intrusive And finally succeeded in getting rid of it. Thanks for your suggestions.
