Wireless keyboard & Mouse in computer lab

Greetings,

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

In a potential installation of 20-30 MacPros for FCP editing, we're considering the wireless Apple keyboard and mouse. Are there any concerns for communication errors or interference between the machines, resulting in them getting confuses as to which particular keyboard and mouse is communicating with each machine?

The towers will be in close proximity to each other and may all be operational at once.

Thanks in advance!

Bluetooth will take care of the mice and keyboards only communicating with the correct computers, but I would still recommend using wired mice and keyboards unless there is some special reason to use wireless. Apple monitors have USB port for keyboards and mice.

1) Some startup options and diagnostics will not work with wireless.
2) If the computers are in the same room the mice or keyboards may get moved, causing confusion when nothing happens on the computer the user is expecting to use.
3) Taking care of batteries can be a problem. Users will forget to turn off the mouse when not using it.
4) Wireless mice are heavier. Your wrist may get tired when using them a lot.
5) Wireless mice can easily fall off the table and get damaged.
6) Wireless mice can get lost (under papers, on the floor, in a pocket, etc.)
