My Mac desktop OS X Yosemite has quit 8 times in two days in various functions. I get a message to press any key and it restarts. Waste of my time. What could be causing it? How can I stop it? Thanks.

Power Macs can not run OS X at all, repost in the correct forum.
Are you running Yosemite (this forum), or Tiger (what your profile says you are running).
You should post in the correct forum. And you should include a few of the system panic reports

The panic report should have "panic" in the file name.
Try running this program and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read.
