how can i clear my maps data that appears below the maps search categories?

How can I delete the maps locations that appear below the map search categories? I have no favorites saved and I already cleared the recent locations, but for some reason previous locations are appearing below the different search categorie. User uploaded file

Glad I am not alone. Same problem. Started a thread on this the other day and got similar answers as this thread. The locations under Favorites DO NOT appear in recent and even if you select the location and open it all this does is place it in Recents. If you delete it in Recents it will STILL appear as in your picture above. There seems to be NO WAY to delete these locations. They do seem to come from e-mails as suggested. If anyone finds a solution please let us know.

Yes, I seem to have the same behavior - seeing a few remaining locations after clearing "Recents".

I believe the remaining locations are those very recently used - within the past few weeks.

So I suggest giving it some time (days or weeks) and perhaps the few remaining locations will fade away. If not, try clearing "Recents" again in case they show up there.

I have the same issue. It's an iPhone bug that no one seems to have an answer to. If you receive a text with an address (in my case when the address in the text is underlined) then somehow this carries over to the maps app and shows exactly like the screen shot you shared with the sender showing right below the address. I've tried everything to remove as i have several since I'm working with real estate agents texting me addresses for property leads. Apple map app is terrible as its nonsense a user can text you an address and make it permanent in the app. If you figure it out please share but Apple needs to fix with a simple swipe to remove espec since users can't control what addresses are sent via text and logically can have a bunch of unwanted or useless addresses in the app.

Yep we are in the same maddening place. I also saw the YouTube video on deleting the app using jailbreak but that's way too technical for me. On principor only I've since downloaded another map app so I don't have to look at the addresses. Yes a bit odd but it works and the addresses don't show on this app. I've reported it as an issue to Apple within the app so hopefully, doubtful but I'm hopeful they'll issue a patch. You and I surely cannot be the only ones who has people texting them addresses. It's got to be more than half of users.
