What is a good software for creating newsletters?

I have to agree, I have come to enjoy using Pages. It is a very user friendly program and to top it off you can be working on something on your Mac and continue it on your iPad then transfer it to your iPhone as it is comparable across all platforms, Apple is doing a very good job at this now.
Pages is good! I also like Pixelmator which is a paid app from the app store. It comes with lots of tutorials which helped me when getting started. Might be good if you're looking for something a little bit more advanced...
Pixelmator is a very different application than Pages and should not be compared directly to Pages. They complement each other, though.
Pages is a page-layout program and word processor with the ability to create documents of many pages.
Pixelmator is a pixel-based photo and paint program designed to create and edit images and photos. It cannot make a document with more than one page, as far as I know, so unless it's a one-page newsletter Pixelmator is not going to cut it. Pixelmator also lacks tools to efficiently edit large volumes of text.
Pixelmator is an excellent program to use together with Pages. You should use Pages to create layouts and full resolution vector text. You should use Pixelmator to edit individual photo files to be added to a multi-page Pages newsletter.
