Artist v Album Artist

HELP ! , windows 10

For the life of me I cannot fix this problem...I have a bunch of Ryan Adams cd's in my itunes library (13) and I just added another but it is listed separately?

So I have 2 Ryan Adams files in one with 13 albums and one with just one.

The Album I loaded is Cold Roses by Ryan Adams & The Cardinals but YES I did change album artist to just Ryan Adams but no use.

I have also entered it as just Ryan Adams and checked the sort method making sure it is the same etc.

I even tried renaming the artist as 'sex' and then changing it back to Ryan Adams but no matter what I try it stays as a separate listing, I have other albums by Ryan Adams & The Cardinals and they list perfectly under Ryan Adams..So ANY help will be gratefully accepted.

Hi,

I have generally found that using artist field to show full name of performer - Ryan Adams and the Cardinals for example then showing Ryan Adams in album artist field for all tracks works for me. However, I have come across a few quirks! The album artist field appears to be the same but I still get multiple items. Selecting all track and deleting album artist and clicking ok, then readd name usually works. Check also sort field is the same.
