Office 2011 for Mac update (2.3.6) will not install.

I installed Office 2011 Home and Business on a new iMac running OS X 10.11.4. After installing I ran the autoupdate. This noted a critical update 2.3.6 and that any further updates cannot occur without this it. It downloaded but each time I try to install it reverts back to searching for updates and states that this (2.3.6) is available and ready to install.

On the outgoing Mac running the same OS there was no problem and there must have been multiple newer updates. I tried uninstalling Office and starting again. Still same issue. Microsoft's website to which I was directed by the autoupdate should it not download, has no mention of this update. Any ideas of how to proceed and if this is a security risk?

Yep...nup...I am trying to install 2011 from scratch. It wont let it update to 14.1.0 - says the version wont allow it to be installed - and as I less than clearly said the halfwits at M$ have deleted the required updates - like 2.3.6

I managed to install 14.6.2 anyway but now it wont install Microsoft Error Reporting for Mac 2.2.9 - and of course M$ have deleted that update too!
