Q: My ipad pro suddenly started telling password is incorrect for one of my accounts..

Hello,

I have tried to update an app and it says password is incorrect. I'm sure that it was correct so I thought someone might hacked? So I changed my password successfully and tried to log in from my ipad but still same error message appears. I changed my password 3 times but no luck. However, I tried with my iPhone and it works just fine my account and password is just fine. Now whats wrong with ipad pro? it was version 9.2.1 and was giving me that error and I just updated it to 9.3.1 and still same error message. That account and password were working just fine few days ago..

iPad Pro, iOS 9.3.1

    HI Someonefrom91,

If your iPad Pro isn't accepting the password for your Apple ID when trying to update an app, it may be that the app was purchased under a different Apple ID. The information outlined below details how to identify what Apple ID was used to purchase an app.

The items you're trying to play might have been purchased using a different iTunes Store account. To determine which account was used to purchase an item, follow the steps below:

    1. Select a purchased song in your library.
    2. Mac: From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose File > Get Info.
Windows: Press Control and B on your keyboard to turn on the iTunes menu bar. From the menu bar, choose File > Get Info. Learn more about menus in iTunes for Windows.
    3. Click the File tab. Make note of the Account Name that appears in the list. This is the account name (Apple ID) that you need to use when you authorize your computer to play this purchase.
The Apple ID that appears is the one that you used when you purchased the item. The Apple ID you used to purchase the item doesn't change, even if you change your Apple ID.
