Q: The Encrypt Backup feature in iTunes can restore what saved passwords?

"The Encrypt Backup feature in iTunes locks and encodes your data. An encrypted iTunes backup includes certain information that other backups don't:

Your saved passwords"

What passwords are they referring to? Apps? Websites?

Presumably if you use your phone to automatically log into other sites or use services requiring a password it is saving those automatic entries.  Kind of like how I have a master password set for all major sites I use with my computer Internet browser.  If your phone automatically enters a password for you to check your e-mail the iTunes backup is set to not to save passwords to an un-encrypted backup because if somebody stole your computer it may be one way for them to get access to your general passwords.  If your backup is encrypted then it is probably as safe as it was on your phone and would save you the trouble of re-entering all your passwords if restoring from an encrypted backup.
