Q: bugs on ios 9.3.1

Yesterday I upgraded the operating system of my iPhone 6s plus to ios version 9.3.1.

Since, I have a very strange phenomenon phone

I can listen to music and movies only through headphones (and not through the phone's speaker)

However when I use the phone for calls I could hear the conversation only through the device's speaker

Does anyone know how I go back to the previous version?

How can I fix the problem?

Or how to interact with the support of Apple.

    Hello liorfromrehovot,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that you are not able to hear music or movies through the speaker on your iPhone, but you can hear phone call conversations with the speaker. My first thought is that it sounds like the Ring/Silent switch may be set to silent which could explain this behavior.

Explanation of this switch, along with further troubleshooting for this type of situation, can be found in the following article.

    Cheers!

I also have no sound since installing 9.3.1. I've checked all the settings, including ensuring mute isn't selected in settings or the side switch. Key clicks are turned on, but no sound emanates from the iPad. I have tried rebooting the device and rebooting whilst holding the + volume rocker switch.  Every setting is as it should be to generate sound......but there's nothing, not a sausage!

It is possible that the software update did not take account of the fact that some people are using fairly old equipment, my iPad is about 5 or 6 years old.   I say this because I ran into a problem trying to install 9.3.1 on my iPhone 4.  It simply won't load, apparently Apple neglected to write the software so that it supports older phones. It's rumoured that a revised version of 9.3.1 will be issued shortly - but that could be in months/years/never (delete on the basis of your faith in Apple).

I too have many problem with sound after 9.3.1 update.      The most serious issue is NO RINGTONE for incoming calls.  The phone only vibrates.  I've missed some important calls because of this.

Also no sound for alerts, alarm clock, or games.

However, I do have sound for Music  and videos.  and in Settings where you can select sounds to associate with different events,  it does play tones when i click on them.   It just won't play them like it's supposed to for phone calls or alerts.   Which is obviously a major problem.

I tried doing a reset but it is still the same.

I  have an iPhone 5s. So it occurred to me that maybe Apple didn't make sure the update worked with older devices, but I've heard people with iPhone 6 also saying they are having some sound  problems
