BATTERY

I switch off my phone at night with at least 30% power. I switch it on in morning and it will not go on without plugging in to charge. It shows a thin red line at battery level then within a few minutes it returns to about 30%. Advice please

Hi lulu49,

I understand you are concerned that the battery indicator on your iPhone shows a thin red line, and then shows a 30% charge after your iPhone sits all night. The resources below will provide some information about charging your iPhone and maximizing its battery life. I would suggest letting the iPhone drain completely and then charging it to 100%. In the future, I would suggest plugging your iPhone into an electrical outlet to charge every night when you go to bed.
