I have edited a film with FCP 7 some years ago ( in 2010 about ) and now as I wanted to change something in this editing, I find some files with the mention of final cut express , it is impossible to open it, I am wondering what to do about that. I don't remeber habing ever use final cut express....

I think FCE projects actually have a fcp extension. If they are projects they should open in FCP – unless the version of FCE is newer than FCP. Are you getting an error message? Is FCP updated though 7.0.3?
Control click one of the files > Get Info. Please post a screen shot of what Info window reports.
