behind the times

Why is Apple so behind the times, just had an iPhone 5SE and i can't pair to my macbook pro via Bluetooth, i can't believe its this poor. You would at least expect Apple products to pair to each over if not to some third party products.

Does anyone have a clue how i can pair items without a cable?

thanks

5SE or SE its still poor that Apple does not pair to Apple

No, it doesn't. No iPhone ever has and yet, Apple still sells them almost faster than they can produce them.

Meanwhile, if you explain to us why you think you need to connect your iPhone to your computer by BT, we can suggest another way to do what you want.

Thanks for the feedback, and i have some fun with the name. 😁. The thing is that bluetooth on Apple products don't work that well, i have some PURE speakers and Apple does not want to pair with them. I wanted to transfer something over and instead of being energetic and going for the cable i thought i would Bluetooth the item across.

I had a Samsung phone previously and it would bluetooth to anything, my point is that Apple do make it that you buy only Apple certified products to work with their equipment but surly any product should bluetooth to any product or am i wrong.

I have no problem with BlueTooth. I have it paired with 3 different headsets, a BlueTooth speaker, and my car's sound system and cell phone head unit. All work reliably 100% of the time. I also connect using BlueTooth LE to an Apple Watch, a Fitbit Zip, a Polar heart monitor strap, a Withings blood pressure cuff, 6 Tile locator modules and 2 Macs using AirDrop. None of the LE connections require or support pairing; they just work.
