Q: iPad pro 9.7 slow screen refresh when browsing and scrolling?

Anybody else seeing this?

When reading web pages on Safari as I scroll the page up maybe half or a full page the screen has a real lag in refreshing - it stays blank for a second or two before the text or pictures appear. Most annoying.

As i only got it on Thursday I am not sure whether its linked to the latest update IOS 9.3.1 or not - i.e. i don't think it was doing it before that update?

Most annoying and not what I'd expect from an iPad Pro.

I have tried refreshing the WiFi, it doesn't do it on my Mac so something in the iPad?

Edited to add it appears ok on Chrome browser, scrolls no problem, and doesn't do this on my iPad 2 which has not received the latest update.

iPad Pro, iOS 9.3.1

Yes, I have this problem too. Page is just blank for 2-5 seconds when scrolling In Safari.

I find this really annoying especially for such a expensive high end device.

Just swapped phone and tablet from Android spent £1300+, seroiusly considering moving away from Apple.

Found a solution for this problem. Just "Zoom in" the screen by 1 percent, scroll,  and you will solve the problem. I'm a genius.

I have the  13 inch iPad Pro i'm experiencing the same issues and I'm experiencing the same issue similar to those your outlined.

    • Screen loading/refreshing scrolling Safari, in any orientation of the screen. A good three seconds or more.
    • White blocks on pages where you have to zoom in or rapidly scroll the page to remove them
    • Text does not refresh, nor does it delete when  pushing the delete key.
    • Text highlighting is nearly impossible
    • Perhaps as mentioned, some issues with multitasking features

This is very unacceptable for a high-end tablet in my opinion

    Yes,

I have this problem also. 'Zooming' is not a 'real' solution as this issue does not happen on my old iPad 2 or iPhone or MacBook Pro. I've contacted Apple several times as this is a 'new' and more powerful as well as expensive device. Does anyone know of a permanent solution????

    Steveatesh/Dyrloev et. al:

I've bought this thread to Apple Tech support attention as well as a similar one ( with video showing the issue) located at  the MacOS Rumors site. I've reported  this issues at least three times since first encountered but have not heard of a solution as of yet. Rather annoying for a 'faster ' device ( and much more expensive). I guess if the next update doesn't fix this issue we'll have to up the noise. We can't be the only ones experiencing  this issue as it appears to be software related.

    Regards.....

I'll just add my name to the list of those who are very annoyed by this problem. I first thought it was certain forum software (Proboards?), but I'm seeing it in more places now, and only with the iPad Pro.

OK... I'm writing again because I'm really frustrated with this problem. It's been a month approximately, and Safari is super slow refreshing the screen while scrolling.

Some pages cannot be zoomed, therefore there is no solution for this. I have the filling this is a problem of (graphic) memory assignation and in consequence, it would not get fix until nex iOS if we are lucky. Main problem is that the guys at Apple are more interested in "emojis evolution", than in making the product stable.

Unfortunately the market is a little bit rigged; google + Samsung or Apple. Depressing right?

I have the same issue with the 9.7 iPad Pro.  It's really noticiable as the pages are blank for well over a second, and up to three before the content catches up.  This isn't what I expected at all from a tablet with this spec.

Yes; still experiencing it here but now it seems to be occurring on many  more sites. As stated before it happens even on sites that are minimal in their display of graphics and adds. Try the MacSurfer site......basically almost all text and I get the delay on its site every time. If this is not fixed in the next  update I will demand a refund and go back to using my iPad 2. That such an expensive and  'new' and 'more powerful' device can't deliver web pages correctly is a shame.  Really, no-one  noticed this during testing and Quality Control?????

Also happens in iOS 10 beta so it's not looking likely that they are bothering to fix it

    fefucho,

Tried and it didn't work for me.....opened site which exhibited the behavior and then rotated and it didn't fix the issue.
