Q: iTunes connect podcast submission fails

OK I'm getting really cheesed off now. I have been trying to submit a podcast to iTunes for some days now, with repeated failures due to one or more alleged errors. Yes I have fixed a few errors, but now I believe I have finally fixed them all. I can directly subscribe to my feed in iTunes 12.3.3.17 on OSX 10.11.4, and can see all the summary text, cover art, media files etc. I can successfully subscribe on the standard podcast app on my iPhone 4s with iOS 9.3. My feed checks out on Cast Feed Validator at http://castfeedvalidator.com/?url=http://stpaulsnewport.org.uk/podcast. My feed validates at the first level on iTunes Connect and allows me to submit for further checking. I really don't know what more I can do. My feed used to work fine, but then we changed our URL between pre-prod to production, updating all the links and files, and no longer works with iTunes Connect but does work everywhere else. I'm using the same podcasting plugin (Seriously Simple Podcasting 1.14.3) on my Wordpress 4.2.2 site that worked before. I couldn't update the feed URL in iTunes Connect from my pre-prod site (or at least it failed validation) so I requested that it be deleted and started again.

My main gripe:

1. When the iTunes Connect validator finds an error, please please tell us what the error actually was. I'm not a mind reader, and nobody else including iTunes has a problem. I don't want to spend days chasing problems and thinking I've fixed it just to get another 'error' email.

Subsidiary gripes.

1. Update the email that notifies the error. The link http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html goes nowhere.

2. Update your web site so that the page http://www.apple.com/uk/itunes/podcasts/creatorfaq.html with the section "How do I submit my podcast?" is actually correct.

Firstly, you aren't talking to Apple here. People who answer here, like myself, are not Apple employees, just users like yourself who try to use their experience to help. You've highlighted a couple of problems with Apple's webpages which you can report to Support: go to https://itunespartner.apple.com/en/podcasts/overview and click the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.

As to your feed, FeedValidator throws up a few minor problems but nothing which should affect submission. I was able to validate your feed at Podcasts Connect and it showed no errors and said it was ready for submission.

Just to check that you are indeed following the correct procedure for submitting your podcast, the process is described here:

That's just part of a page which described the process of making a podcast and includes some Apple Help links at the bottom.
