I have a mac osx power pc G5 10.6 OS. Many times I get a message that says my server (Safari) is outdated.

I believe G5s were limited to 10.5.8 so if you are running 10.6 you must have an early Intel processor.
What exact iMac do you have? You can find that information in "About this Mac".

Sorry, but the only way to get an updated Safari is to get a newer Mac that can run a newer OS.
