Q: Ipod classic problems

1. Bought my Ipod classic years ago but don't remember date. How do I add it to my list?

2. Frozen on "ok to disconnect screen. Toggling hold then holding down select & Menu, or select & Play has not worked.

3. If I connect to iTunes restore freezes

 

PLEASE HELP!!

1.  iPods (that are not iPod touch) are not directly linked to your Apple ID (or any other "list").  You just start using it and associated it with your computer's iTunes library for syncing content.

 

2.  Try doing a Reset (restart) by following this procedure

 

Learn how to reset your iPod - Apple Support

 

Sounds like you may have done that (or something similar) already.  What does the iPod's screen show, when you do this?  Do you see the Apple logo come up?

 

3.  If you are able to initiate a Restore after connecting to iTunes, that must mean the iPod is not frozen (as described in "2").  Please clarify and provide more details.
