Strikethrough option in Apple Notes version 4.2

I am trying to "strikethrough" in my apple notes and cannot find a shortcut or straight froward option to this inside of notes.

Using the latest Apple Notes 4.2 Running OS 10.11.4

There is no straight forward way to use the "strikethrough" option for text. I tried looking online and the workarounds were not practical at all. Is there a way to do this that is not listed and if not how can we suggest this future update?

Command+T (show fonts). The third icon on the Show Fonts toolbar is for strike-through. That is as simple as it is going to get. Notes is not a word processor or Mail application.

Thank you for the reply, it appears there is a bug in my system and apple support is trying to fix this.
