I have reinstalled drivers, reset printing system, each time i reboot I can print one job to the hp laser jet 4050n. printer que sometimes shows printer offline, sometimes status shows sending to printer never goes to printer. Reboot and I can print one job. Help

Me too, since 10.11.4 update. I think it's a driver issue. Have another printer hooked up to same computer, it works fine.

Thank you I do not know if you may revert back to an earlier update. I have been considering doing away with El Capitan.
First try resetting the Printing system : Reset the printing system on your Mac - Apple Support
If that fails try downloading and installing this driver from HP: HP LaserJet - Driver and software support for OS X Mavericks v10.9 and newer
Thanks, but Apple Software Update automatically provides a driver. HP doesn't even support this printer anymore. Can't believe I've had this thing since 1998 and it still works great.
