Photos search not working correctly.

When I go into my Photos app, and to the faces album, I can click on my friend "Jake"'s face and see that he has 152 photos tagged of his face. But when I search "Jake" in the search field on photos, it only shows that I have 11 photos of him, and upon clicking on them, they are the most recent 11 photos that I have uploaded.

As well as this, some faces that have <5 pictures tagged, and that I have tagged months ago, aren't showing up in the search at all. But in the Faces album, everything is normal. How can I reset my search?

P.S. I just updated my operating system tonight to OSX El Capitan 10.11.4 and I am presumably using the most recent version of Photos since it didn't offer me an update when I updated my operating system, but I'm not sure how to check. Thanks!
