In Spain and iPhone 5s can't find any wifi

My wife is in Spain for the month and when she searches for wifi her iPhone 5s doesn't find any. She is there with a friend who is also from the US and her Android phone finds wifi fine. She has tried resetting the network settings and also restarting the phone but when the phone searches for networks nothing comes up. She tried this procedure without any luck.

1. Switch to flight mode

2. Switch on wifi

3. Reboot

4. Connect wifi, wait for the icon to appear

5. Switch off flight mode

1. go to bluetooth settings and switch on bluetooth

2. wait for the bluetooth icon to come up

3. go to wifi settings and seeif your networks are there.

Any suggestions?

Hello jaunt,
I understand that you are having an issue with your wife's iPhone not being able to find Wi-Fi. Let's see if we can get that sorted out.
With the troubleshooting that you have already done, I would start with resetting the network settings on her iPhone. This will forget any current Wi-Fi networks so that they can be rejoined. Take a look at the article below for more details on how to troubleshoot this further.
