how can I change the size of icons and fonts on me IPAD

Did you try iPad's

Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom: ON?

For fonts, In Settings app, under General panel, in the right hand panel, tap Accesibilty, there is both a panel for activating larger text and bolder text settings.

The icons are the size they are.

You can, also try the Zoom function under Accesibilty panel.

The iPad Pro can zoom the apps in settings> general> display and brightness> zoom. I'm not sure if the smaller Pro can do it too.

It would be nice if you could enlarge the icons. All I can do is suggest letting Apple know at the link below.

Well you can move the the magnify square and see the icons zoom in.

How = you can't change the size of icons or text labels on your iPad's screen because Apple did not design them to be changed for the reasons I explained

LEARN the look of the pictures BY DOING and soon the sight of the icon will BE LIKE READING a word or recognizing a Stop Sign - the size is "just right" for your FINGERTIP, which is all that matters to the function of the device
