Q: Downloaded new itunes now iPod not recognised. Uninstalled and reinstalled. No sign of the iPod driver on the Win 10 device list. Tried the other fixes - what do I do now?
Using Windows 10. Downloaded latest iTunes (should have known better). Now iPod Nano not recognised. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes to no effect. Checked the device driver list - no sign of the iPod device driver. Read various tips listed here, but nothing seems to work. How do I get the driver?

The "driver" is there. It is part of the iTunes installation. When you connect it, does the iPod's screen indicate it is connected, by showing "Do not disconnect" or "Connected" or other indication that it has a data connection with the computer? If it only shows the battery charging symbol, there may be some other problem that does not involve software and "drivers."
If the iPod has a data connection (but it does not appear in iTunes), you may want to use the procedure to completely uninstall iTunes and related software components. You may have only uninstalled iTunes. This is Apple's procedure, listing the components to uninstall and the precise order to uninstall

After uninstalling all parts of the iTunes installation, download and reinstall the latest available version
