Q: nItunes not recognizing Ipod
Hi,
For whatever reason my Itunes decided today not to recognize my Ipod (nano 7th generation). I've tried uninstalling & re-installing Itunes, resetting the Ipod, and removed the 'lockdown' folder. It shows up in file explorer when I connect it, however when the error message appears and I press 'OK' it no longer appears. I've connected the Ipod to another pc and it works (the latter has a previous version of Itunes). Would appreciate any help you could provide. Windows pc
thanks
iPod nano (7th generation), iOS 9.3.1, Ipod is up to date

Since you confirmed the iPod is working with a different PC, if you are using the same docking cable, the cause must be on your usual PC. And the PC and iPod do connect, so the problem seems to be with the iPod not being recognized by iTunes.
FYI - An iPod nano does not run iOS of any version. It has its own iPod software.
Normally, you do not need to uninstall iTunes before installing an update, and doing so may actually cause a problem. If you did that because you had a problem after installing an update and you only uninstalled iTunes, you may want to completely uninstall iTunes and related software components. This Apple documents lists the components of the iTunes installation, and the precise order to uninstall them
Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later - Apple Support
After removing all parts of the iTunes installation as described, download and install the latest available version
