Charging iPhone with Macbook Air

Hi, recently I've been having issues charging my iPhone with my Macbook Air.

I used to charge my phone this way everyday and it was fine but now when my Mac's lid is closed, it would stop charging after a minute.

I can't remember if I altered anything with my energy saving settings on my laptop but I have reset it to factory settings again. Still doesn't charge.

What should I do? 😟
