Why does my inserted photo look different than the original?

This only happens to a few images when I insert them into a Keynote but I can not figure out why?

I've flattened the image, I've saved it as a JPG still looking off.

The first image is how it should look, the second is how it looks in the keynote. It is muddied in the keynote version.

Any suggestions as to what is going on?
