Q: No Audio, Apple TV

I have an Apple TV Model A1469      

 

The sound worked the last time I used it-------which was February 1.  

 

I have restarted several times.   I have disconnected and reconnected all cables to all things.  

 

Picture is clear, video runs without a problem.  This condition occurs throughout the system--Netflicks, PBS,  other Apple TV.      Remote responds and menu is accessible.  

 

I can run my MacBook Air through the same network, access Netflicks, and run sound with no problem. 

 

The software update fails with repeated attempts to download.  

 

This is my first time using the Apple Community.
