Q: Verification code required to sign into apple music

Hello, I'm having trouble signing into apple music on my galaxy sure edge. It's telling me to enter a verification code after my password but there is no field to enter the code into. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem?

Enter the code in the same field as the password, in continuation of the password. This is what they mean by insert the code `after the password`. I know it's strange, but it works.

    dmmast21,

What you are seeing is part of either two-step or two-factor authentication. It's become an industry standard and not one that Apple was solely responsible for. These more secure options do have their quirks about them from time to time such as this one here. There is also the requirement for app passwords that some services use as an alternative to adding the verification code to the back-end of your password.

I'll post a link from google's help website explaining this process. I find this one is the more confusing of the two as it requires you to have a different password for the same account, per the app you are using that account in. Essentially...gone are the days when you could type in the word 'password' for your password.
