Q: My desktop no longer recognizes my iphone since ios 9.3.1 update.

Updated Iphone with new ios 9.3.1 software and now my desktop does not recognize it when I plug it in via usb port. I have checked the wire used, have rebooted my desktop and also rebooted my iphone. I also have restored phone to original factory settings. My desktop is microsoft 10.0. It is possible this problem exists outside of the update, but it occurred at the time of the update. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I might try or who I would contact to help fix this problem? My icloud photos are also not updating onto my desktop.

You may need to restart the AMDS after the 9.3.1 update > Restart the Apple Mobile Device Service (AMDS) on Windows

- I would start with
Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later
- New cable and different USB port
