Q: Disabled iphone, won't recover through itunes

My daughter has managed to disable her iPhone as she has forgotten password, I've tried the recovery options through iTunes, but it keeps telling me to turn off the 'lost my iPhone' feature which I obviously can't do as the phone is disabled! Please help!

You can remove the activation lock (provided you know the password) from any web enabled device:

Turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

If you also forgot that password your only hope is to provide Apple with an ORIGINAL receipt and they MAY be able to erase the phone for you.
