How can I get my Messages Icon back. Accidentally deleted it.

If you find the Messages app, tap to hold it until all the apps jiggle then tap and drag that app to your Home screen.

Use Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

I hope you can locate it so you don't have to restore to factory settings.

The Messages app is pre installed by Apple so it can't be deleted.

Swipe through all your screens and check nested folders if you have any.

If you can't find it that way, swipe down from the middle of any screen then type Messages in the search field. Hopefully it will show up.

There is no way you can delete the messages app but to go into it you could use "spotlight search"

Thanks! My settings icon disappeared today and I did just what you did and it worked!!! It did rearrange all my icons but I actually like it better. I was also able access settings by asking Siri....

TThis happened to me once. I went to settings and reset home screen layout. General/reset/reset home screen layout. Your home screen will go back to factory without having to delete anything.
