Q: Just updated one machine, but can't seem to update the other.

I downloaded the update, had to stop the update for a little bit since I thought my computer was a little bit hot, resumed the download and now it's stuck at "0GB" and will not progress.

I closed out of the installer, tried again and still no luck. This is the right installer correct? Found an image on google, and it looks like the one I used to update both of my computers.

If you guys can provide help, I will be very happy.

Restart the Mac then open the App Store then type El Capitan in the search field top right corner.

Select El Capitan from the search results then restart the download.

Make sure your Mac is well ventilated so you don't have to cancel the upgrade again.

If you can't download that way, back to the App Store menu, select Purchased then see if you can click Resume to the right of El Capitan.

Oh wow, it's that easy. Sorry, I'm making the change from Windows to Mac, it's quite different for me. Thank you very much!

No apology necessary. Switching from PC world to Mac is a bit daunting at first but you'll get the hang of it.

A word to the wise. With El Capitan installed there's no need for third party anti virus software on your Mac. In most cases, it can do far more harm than good.
