Q: iPhone SE Bluetooth issues

I have a new iPhone SE and have so far paired it to a 2014 BMW 328i and a 2011 Kia Optima and a 2015 Kia Santa Fe. In all cases, I have terrible quality bluetooth call reception... the audio while on a phone call is extremely scratchy and distorted.

If I pair an iPhone 6S to each of these vehicles (same iOS version - 9.3.1), I do NOT experience these issues and calls are clear.

When I use the iPhone SE to make phone calls outside of Bluetooth, I have no issues and calls are clear.

This bluetooth issue on my iPhone SE does NOT impact Bluetooth music streaming. Only sounds scratchy / distorted with phone calls.

Apple, so far, is blaming the vehicle manufacturers despite there being multiple vehicle models and brands involved.

BMW and Kia state this must be an Apple problem.

Apple Genius bar is absolutely no help -- they state they can't report "software issues" to Apple and are only able to replace bad iPhones.

I'm at a complete loss as to how to get this to Apple's attention so they can fix the issue.

For now, I don't know what to do. All I know is that Bluetooth audio is very important to me in California since it is illegal to use your phone except in a hands free manner.

Anyone know how we can get this information to someone at Apple that can actually do something about it?

Isn't wierd that not a single review has mentioned these problems with the Bluetooth calls?

Apple knows and they don´t admit because it is hardware related. If they admit they have to change every SE at once, and not only the SE owners who are complaining. And of course that is for them the worst case. My guess.

If this is not fixed soon anyone know an attorney who is an technical engineer? I smell a class action. This mobile Bluetooth not working is a driving safety issue. I was not able to use buyers remorse as my phone was exchanged by Apple twice. My only workaround is using a platonic headset.

Finally for it to connect to my car and several attempts/manipulations.  I reset the network settings then  I turned off BT and let the car search for a device.  After it did not find anything I turned BT back on turned on my cellular data roaming.  Then it located the device with no problem. Very strange.

I Too have entered into this nightmare. tried to do a chat today with online support, but gave up after an hour of not being able to connect with any one. Decided to stop by the Apple flagship store in University Ave in Palo Alto. Figured if anyone could help me out, they could. But no one there seemed to have an inkling of the problem and the Genius (using that term loosely) decided he needed to reboot my phone . Of course he didn't bother to listen to my description if my problem, just wanted to make sure it had the latest software upgrade on it. Of course it did Before he started. When he finally listed to me describe the problem, he felt sure it was a hardware problem, this after he tried to convince me it was a software problem with the vehicles. I again politely explained that the blue tooth in the 4 cars I tried work fine with various iPhone 6's, and the SE was the only one that had the voice reception problem. So a this point he was convinced it was a hardware problem. I even showed him these posts, which he didn't really want to acknowledge. so his solution was for me to wait an hour and a half to sit with another tech to check out the phone. Obviously they don't have a clue, and it would have been so much easier if he would have just acknowledged the problem existed and let me know what my options were. But that didn't happen. I finally gave up, deciding to tackle the problem another day. I also loved one of his comments that new products from Apple typically have problems that are resolved after the fact.

IT IS TRUELY AMAZING THAT THEY TOOK ONLY 10-15 MINUTES TO TAKE MY $600 FOR THE PHONE, AND THEN NEED A COUPLE OF HOURS OF MY TIME TO MAYBE FIX A PROBLEM. CAN YOU IMAGINE AN AUTOMAKER SHIPPING A CAR WITH A DEFECTIVE PART? I THINK THEY WOULD BE DOING EVERY THING IN THEIR POWER TO NOTIFY US OF THE PROBLEM AND FIX IT.

I'm not a developer or tech guy. Just a customer who is frustrated by this event. There are now several threads in the community about this problem. Some are reporting luck with the software update. Others are not. I haven't tried this fix yet myself, but the ONLY consistent fix I've read about is resetting the network. Note, it will reset your wi-fi too. Simpply reconnect.

Settings-General-Reset (scroll to bottom of general)-Reset Network Settings.

Unpair phone with car. Repair it.

If you try this, please post results. I already did it but haven't been able to test a call in my car.

More people seem to be reporting a fix with this method than any other. I also think there are some on here doing nothing other than piling on Apple. I like their products and so long as they figure this out, without costing me, I'm good.

I Think they were removed because they were untrue. The software fix 9.3.2 wasn't fixing anything and those who posted were claiming it did. A couple posts also said it was free to be a developer. That's not true either.

It seems that all posts that claim that the beta 2 fixed the BT problem are being deleted.

IF the reason is that the beta doesn't fix the issue, at least it could be stated.

And what it was said was that the beta public program was free, not being developer.

That's correct. I got two mails from the moderators that both my edits were delete's because i used that word for the updates. I dont understeand why, but i guess they have their reasons.

PS...i DO think that the last year or so more and more postings are deleted in the land of the "free" and democracy. Even any word of critic about apple products, and the past two years there has been more and more reasons to be critical get deleted. So democracy and freedom are maybe changing in the land of the free,

It seems that someone at this company has a bad day. Maybe it is due to the iTunes issue in China. I don't like this way of handling things.

It got deleted as well as others because the authors said that they may have fixed their phone with the beta version.  While this may be the case, beta versions are just that, betas meaning that it will go through many changes and may not be even included in the final version that is released to the public.

It got deleted based on speculation
