Apr 4, 2016 11:34 PM in response to winniefromlinwoodby Roger Wilmut1,Your files must already be compressed as only compressed files are accepted in the Store. When you compress the file in whatever program you are using to create it you can set the level of compression, usually expressed as a 'but rate'. The trade-off is that as you make the file size smaller the quality deteriorates; at the usual levels of compression there isn't a problem. An hour long file is going to be fairly large, and might take a couple of minutes or longer to download, but of course it depends both on the internet speed available to your subscriber and on how fast your server can deliver the file.
You could try making a short excerpt from an episode and saving it with various levels of compression (just for local listening) and seeing what you think about the quality. Over-compressed files develop a sort of 'underwater' sound.
