Q: I accidentally downloaded a program called Mac Keeper.  How do I make sure that everything is gone after I uninstall it?

I have a Mac Book Pro.  I recently downloaded El Capitan 10.11.4.  While I was downloading an update to the media player I accidentally downloaded a program call Mac Keeper.  I followed the instructions to uninstall Mac Keeper but I may not have gotten all of the files associated with this program.  How do I make sure it is completely gone?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

    1. Open MacKeeper.
    2. Quit MacKeeper.
    3. Open the Applications folder and drag MacKeeper to the Trash.
    4. Enter your admin password.
    5. A pop-up window appears asking if you want to Uninstall the rest of the components.
    6. Click Uninstall MacKeeper.
    7. Choose Go > Go to Folder from Finder.
    8. Enter ~/Library/Application Support.
    9. Find a file called NoticeEngine.plugin. Drag it to the Trash.
    10. Restart your Mac (Apple > Restart).

If you have a Time Machine backup, reinstall using a date prior to your installing Mackeeper.
