Apr 6, 2016 3:00 PM in response to NicPhilby pedro d,Hello there, NicPhil.
It seems you're unable to sync your iPod after upgrading to Windows 10 on your PC. If the issue you're seeing is that your iPod isn't recognized, then the following Knowledge Base article provides some great troubleshooting recommendations:
When iTunes on your computer doesn't recognize your connected device, use these steps. Try again after each step:
- Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes that your system supports.
- Check that you have the latest software on your Mac or Windows PC.
- Make sure that your device is turned on.
- If you see a Trust this Computer alert, unlock your device and tap Trust. If the alert continues to appear, you might need to reset your lockdown folder.
- Unplug all USB accessories from your computer except for your device. Try each USB port to see if one works. Then try a different Apple USB cable.
- Restart your computer and iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
- To see if your device needs service, try another computer. If you have the same issue again, contact Apple Support.

Apr 13, 2016 11:32 PM in response to pedro dby Toucan_touche,In some cases, this doesn't work at all. The reason being is that on a Windows 10 64 bit system at least in my situation, the problem wasn't at the USB part of Device Manager at all, it was at the Portable Devices part of Device Manager.
I had to click on Portable Devices, then Apple iPad and right click and select Update Driver Software and go to Let Me Pick From A List of Device Drivers on My Computer and then Have Disk and then go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers then Double-click the "usbaapl" file (or "usbaapl64" like I had to for a 64bit system), click next and finish or close, then it will install the driver and finally show up at the USB part as Apple Mobile Device USB Driver. Then, iTunes should recognise an iPad (and maybe other idevices). I say should because it worked for me and it might work for others. It would really help people with Windows 10 if the - 'If iTunes doesn‘t recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod' - page reflected this oddity ...

Apr 17, 2016 12:38 PM in response to NicPhilby NicPhil,Thankyou for your help, but in the end I contacted Apple and they talked me through de-activating iTunes and all Apple products one by one and then re-installing iTunes which solved the problem! My ipod now syncs again!
